In this period in which the Corona virus spreads rapidly, we are taking care. Taking care of ourselves and each other. Taking care of our company, our employees, our customers and consumers. But as Alpro employees with the heart in the right place, we also want to take care of all those heroes in the front lines and in our local communities who help where they can in these exceptional circumstances. And the Alpro Social Fund also wants to make a contribution.
The Alpro Social Fund is managed by the King Baudouin Foundation and is aimed at offering support for Alpro employees and partners. The Alpro Social Fund makes a distinction between:
Are you, as an Alpro employee, or your family in a difficult situation as a result of, for example illness, accident or disability? Or is a member of your family disadvantaged due to financial hardship? Then you can apply for financial or material support at any time and with full anonymity in the framework of an internal project.
Are you, as an Alpro employee, your partner or one of your children an active
member of an association conducting a social and sustainable project in the vicinity
of the Alpro facilities in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, UK or Germany that is
having an extra hard time in this Corona crisis? Then you can request financial or
material support from the Alpro Social Fund. External projects in which you are not
active, but which appeal to you may also be eligible. In that case we ask you to
motivate what the support will be used for.
The Alpro Social Fund will give priority to projects that focus on the most vulnerable groups in this crisis: homeless people, lonely elderly people, children from disadvantaged families who do not have material to attend home schooling,…
Each project can receive up to € 5000 in financial or material support. Because we feel that the needs in this Corona crisis are high and urgent, we want to act fast! Therefore, this time, there will be no vote by the Alpro employees, but the distribution of the funds over the different projects will be done by the Board of Directors of the Alpro Social Fund.
Will your association or initiative receive financial and/or material support during this Corona crisis? Your external projects can be sent in for consideration from 24 April 2020 to 5 May 2020.
On 8 May 2020, the Board of Directors of the Alpro Social Fund will determine which external projects deserve support.
